About Glen

Rooted in Conservative Values

Glen Meyer, a devoted Nebraska native and passionate advocate for conservative values, is a seasoned leader with a deep commitment to his community and the state of Nebraska. Born and raised on a Wayne County farm, Glen's roots in agriculture and rural Nebraska have shaped his character and principles.


Glen's journey began in the classrooms of Wayne County Rural School District 25 and continued through Pender High School, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service, hard work, and family values. His agricultural background took root on the family farm west of Pender, where he raised grain, livestock, and his family.

Throughout his career, Glen has worn many hats, from tending to the land and livestock on his farm to collaborating with area cattle feedlots during his high school years. In 1998, Glen transitioned to a role as a District Sales Manager at Crows Hybrids, later Channel Seeds, where he worked tirelessly with dealers and customers throughout Northeast Nebraska. His wealth of experience in agri-business has been a cornerstone of his commitment to the prosperity of Nebraska.


Beyond his professional endeavors, Glen has dedicated significant time to public service. He served for nine years on the school board, contributing to the betterment of education in his district. His involvement extended to the Northeast NE Pork Producers board, St. Mary's parish council, the Northeast NE Board of Health, the Region 4 Behavioral Health board, and his current position as Chairman of the Thurston County Board of Supervisors.


Glen's personal life is equally rich and fulfilling. In 1980, he married Lorie Habrock, an Emerson native and retired teacher with over 30 years of experience in the Pender school system. Together, they have raised three children—Andy (Sheila), Sara (Andy), and Jenna (Levi)—and are proud grandparents to seven grandchildren.


As a candidate for the Nebraska Legislature representing District 17, Glen Meyer is driven by a steadfast commitment to conservative values. He envisions a Nebraska where agriculture and businesses flourish, where education is of the highest quality, and where individual freedoms, including the second amendment rights and parental rights, are protected. Glen is resolute in his dedication to eliminating government waste and advocating for tax reform, all with the goal of building a stronger and more prosperous future for the great state of Nebraska.
